The Sands of the Sea

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalms 24:1). There are many things in this world that God has made that are intriguing to us. One of those things for me happens to be the sand of the sea. Sand is defined as a granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. It is defined by size, being finer than gravel and coarser than silt.

There are quite a few references to sand in the Bible, but the one reference that stands out to me is found in Psalms Chapter 139, verses 17 and 18. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! {18} If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. It is impossible for us to count the sand of the sea.  This is an amazing picture of how much God thinks about us.  Keep sight of this picture when you are feeling forgotten. He will never forget you!

All Scriptures are KJV only.

Related Scripture:

Psalms 40:5  Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
