Refuel Your Faith

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Are you still hoping, waiting, and praying for something that you feel is long overdue? Do you feel like your prayers are not being heard? Do you wonder if God even sees what you are going through? I’m sure a lot of us have thought this way. Every now and then you get tired of waiting, tired of hoping. It feels like continuous rain and when you look up at the clouds and you start to see a glimmer of hope with the sun trying to peek through, but that doesn’t last long.

This morning as I read my scripture rehearsal out loud my heart and mind were renewed (our mind needs to be renewed daily), it helped me so much as I have been waiting on God. I must believe the Bible, I must trust in His word. He said it, He will do it.

Philippians 4:8 states,  “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Think on good things and refuel your faith. Meditate on His word.

Psalms 77:12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doing

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus

Draw nigh to Christ and He will draw nigh to you.

James 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

We all at a point in our lives will feel like God is not there, doesn’t hear, or even see what we are going through, but our Bible tells us differently. And we know our Bible is true.

Psalms 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalms 94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

If you are currently in a trying time or dark place please meditate on Psalms Chapter 139, verse 11;

Psalms 139:11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

It doesn’t matter if you are in a dark place, even that dark place will be light unto you when God is with you. Be encouraged.

Fruit of the Righteous

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4:19).

These days it is hard to find a church that still goes out soul winning door to door. For me being in a church that does soul winning is very important. But if you’re not in church that is faithfully going out to add to the kingdom that shouldn’t stop you.

Take the time and go out. Jesus sent the disciples out two by two and didn’t wait for the people to come to Him, we have to go and get them. Please don’t be preoccupied by the things of your life and get occupied with the things God wants for your life. He wants us to go and share the truth with those that are lost. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost (Matthew 18:11).

Maybe you are afraid, shy,  or not confident, Philippians 4:13 states I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me. Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you go and become a fisher of men.

A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. {15} Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. {16} Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

God’s Bow

In the Bible, there is a mention of a bow, in which we know it today as a rainbow. This bow represents a covenant God made with us not to destroy the earth again by flood.

(Genesis 9:8-17) ” And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, {9} And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; {10} And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. {11} And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. {12} And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: {13} I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. {14} And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: {15} And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. {16} And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. {17} And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.”

God’s bow will forever be a sign of His promise. God always keeps His promises.

Trust in Him

My past week began with a mind challenge. It brought about questions and doubts, but this one question ended it all. Do you believe that God is all that He says He is? Yes, I do! Then trust Him. So, now I ask you do you believe that God is all that He says He is?  If so, trust Him.

The Sands of the Sea

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalms 24:1). There are many things in this world that God has made that are intriguing to us. One of those things for me happens to be the sand of the sea. Sand is defined as a granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. It is defined by size, being finer than gravel and coarser than silt.

There are quite a few references to sand in the Bible, but the one reference that stands out to me is found in Psalms Chapter 139, verses 17 and 18. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! {18} If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. It is impossible for us to count the sand of the sea.  This is an amazing picture of how much God thinks about us.  Keep sight of this picture when you are feeling forgotten. He will never forget you!

“Choose Life”

(Deuteronomy 30:19) “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

In this time of year as we enter into the celebration of our LORD and Saviour’s birth let us not forget the reason why we are celebrating. God gave us a gift and gave us a choice if we would receive the gift. The choice of life or death and we chose life. There are others who need to know about the gift of Jesus and this is the perfect time to share. Instead of giving and receiving gifts amongst each other, how about we give God a gift and go out to win souls for His kingdom because after all it is not about us.

(John 3:16) ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

(Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

(Matthew 28:19-20)  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  {20} Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen.”

(Proverbs 11:30) “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

God cannot Lie

Numbers 23:19 says:

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

To do so would be contrary to His nature for He is the “truth”(John 14:6).

He is a “God of truth and without iniquity” (Deuteronomy 32:4).
He is the “true God”(Jeremiah 10:10).
He is “true”(2 Corinthians 1:18).
His ways are “just and true”(Revelation 15:3).
His judgments are “true and righteous”(Revelation 16:7).
His words are “true”(2 Samuel 7:28).
