Forever Preserved

When you hear the word preserved what is the first thing that comes to your mind? The first thing that comes to my mind is food and the process it goes through to be preserved from spoiling.  There is another type of preservation that involves our souls.  We as Christians know once we made the choice to confess and believe in Jesus as stated in Romans 10:9-11 (That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. {11} For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed) we are saved from hell.

One of the definitions for preserved is one that saves or defends from destruction or evil. This is exactly what Jesus has done for us; He preserved our soul from destruction. Psalms 30:3 it states; O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Psalms 145:20 it states; The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. Psalms 97:10 states; Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Be of good courage and hope in the LORD, He is faithful and we are Forever Preserved.
